LTP4 Consultation Responses April 2015

In February 2015 Oxfordshire County Council launched a major consultation on a long-term transport strategy for the County covering the period up to 2031. The strategy is known as LTP4 (Local Transport Plan 4); the County’s description and links to all the documents forming the draft are here.

Oxford Futures, under the auspices of Oxford Civic Society, is offering a service to any and all interested parties whereby they can publish and share their responses to the draft strategy. This can either be in the form of the complete text of a response – appropriate for organisations and individuals who do not have the facility to publish on their own websites – or as a link from this page to a response published elsewhere.

We believe that such an important set of issues as are raised by LTP4 deserve the widest possible consultation and debate. Only by openly sharing views will we – the residents, workers, visitors and transport users – be able to get a full picture of the strength of feeling and support for the many ideas in LTP4 and be able to judge whether our views have been properly represented to the Councillors who will ultimately decide on the Strategy.

Disclaimer: In publishing responses and links here, Oxford Futures and Oxford Civic Society are making no judgement on the merits or otherwise of the views expressed in those responses. We are merely acting as a hosting service in the interests of public participation in the long-term planning process. We welcome all responses that have been submitted to the County Council, but reserve the right not to publish or link to any that are abusive, offensive or that we judge to be irrelevant to LTP4.

To participate please email your responses, or a link to your response, to ltp4@oxfordfutures.org.uk

The City Council’s response is technically a draft until it has been approved by the Council. The draft was considered by the City Executive Board (CEB) on 27 April. A summary of the full response is included in the papers for the CEB with a link to the full draft response.

The documents linked above were downloaded from the Council’s website and cached on 28 April 2015: http://mycouncil.oxford.gov.uk/documents/s23310/Report_%20Consultation%20response%20to%20the%20Oxfordshire%20Transport%20Strategy.pdf and http://www.oxford.gov.uk/Library/Documents/Planning/Oxford%20Transport%20Strategy%20Consultation%20Response%20-%20April%202015.pdf respectively.
